Jesus knew that his mission was now finished, and to fulfill Scripture he said, “I am thirsty." A jar of sour wine was sitting there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put it on a hyssop branch, and held it up to his lips. When Jesus had tasted it, he said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Remembering Jesus' Sacrifice

We invite you to join us for our Good Friday Service at 15:5 Church.

We will gather in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Sanctuary on Friday, March 29 at 6:30pm to remember the sacrifice which Jesus Christ paid for our sins when He died on the cross.

The service, which will be just over one hour in length, will reflect on the last hours of Jesus' life before he died. Incorporating live drama, scripture reading, video, music, the Lord's Supper and other creative opportunities to respond, we trust this service will be a powerful part of your Easter remembrance. Although the content of the Good Friday story is violent in nature, we attempt to tell an accurate account of the story in a way that remains “family friendly.”

We encourage our families to celebrate the remembrance of Good Friday together, and for this reason we will not be providing alternate 15:5 Kids programming during our Good Friday service.
